Sportian Globant Partners with VIRTUS Sports Group to Accelerate Sports Reinvention on the American Continent

New agreement will lead to in-market activations that apply a digital lens to sports, with a focus on fan experiences, data analysis and increased monetization

Sportian, the Sports & Entertainment division of Globant, has announced a new partnership with VIRTUS Sports Group, the firm specialized in integral solutions for the sports industry, to support its ongoing expansion on the American continent.

Through a series of new initiatives supported by VIRTUS, Sportian will promote the role of technology in the sports market across the region and provide bespoke materials revealing strategies that are bringing new growth to the industry.

The new partnership will build Sportian's profile in 33 countries and provide a new outlet for local organizations to receive support with commercial and brand strategy, business development and marketing campaigns, supported by Sportian's suite of specialized products and services.

Sportian's client base in the Americas includes major sports leagues, clubs, federations and broadcasters that are using its suite of products and services to generate new audiences, insights and growth, supported by the latest data analysis and AI tools. Current projects in place involve growing and engaging audiences through OTT content streaming, web and app design and gamification, generating match-winning insights through Sportian's Performance platform, or fighting content piracy.

Through a series of reports, podcasts and event activations, the VIRTUS team will develop bespoke assets for sports organizations in the region, focusing on how to apply technologies that definitively impact fan engagement and sports performance while driving returns on investment.

Founded by Gustavo Silikovich, ex-CEO of Club Atlético River Plate and counting on acclaimed sports announcer Fernando Palomo as an advisor, VIRTUS has an established presence and a strong reputation throughout the Americas, providing strategic support to organizations such as FIFA, CONCACAF and various Football Federations throughout the continent.
