Commitment to Accessibility
At Sportian, we believe accessibility is fundamental to providing an inclusive experience for everyone. We are committed to the continuous improvement of our digital products to ensure they become increasingly accessible and user-friendly for all people, including those with disabilities. For this reason, we work to implement best accessibility practices across our web and mobile platforms, in accordance with current regulations, including Law 11/2023 of May 8, which transposes Directive (EU) 2019/882 (European Accessibility Act).
Conformity Status
We are in a process of continuous improvement to achieve the highest possible conformity with Royal Decree 1112/2018 of September 7. We are aware that some aspects of our website and mobile applications can still be improved. Currently, this product is partially compliant, and we are actively working to become increasingly accessible.
Content Under Improvement
We recognize that accessibility is an ongoing effort, and we are focusing on optimizing the following areas:
- Improving the quality of text alternatives for images and other non-text content (WCAG 2.1 criterion 1.1.1).
- Facilitating navigation through content blocks using skip links (WCAG 2.1 criterion 2.4.1).
- Ensuring all elements are accessible and navigable by keyboard, including focus order and visibility of focused elements (WCAG 2.1 criteria 2.1.1, 2.4.3, and 2.4.7).
- Ensuring the structure and relationships of content are understandable by assistive software (WCAG 2.1 criterion 1.3.1).
- Optimizing color use and contrast levels to meet readability requirements (WCAG 2.1 criteria 1.4.1 and 1.4.11).
- Reviewing proper page title definitions to aid user orientation (WCAG 2.1 criterion 2.4.2).
- Clarifying the purpose of some links, labels, and headings so they are easily understood in context (WCAG 2.1 criteria 2.4.4 and 2.4.6).
- Improving interactivity of some components to include accessible controls (WCAG 2.1 criterion 2.5.1).
- Verifying that accessible names of interactive elements correctly match their visual presentation (WCAG 2.1 criterion 2.5.3).
- Correcting missing accessible names or attributes in elements such as links, buttons, or media players (WCAG 2.1 criterion 4.1.2).
- Adding appropriate labels and groupings in input fields, as well as autocomplete functionalities (WCAG 2.1 criteria 3.3.2 and 1.3.5).
- Ensuring all interactions work with both mouse and keyboard (WCAG 2.1 criterion 3.2.1).
- Ensuring dynamic content and status messages are correctly announced by assistive technologies (WCAG 2.1 criteria 3.2.2 and 4.1.3).
- Reviewing error handling in forms to ensure clarity, accessibility, and that they do not rely solely on color (WCAG 2.1 criteria 3.3.1 and 3.3.3).
